It was a great honour for me to record this with the late, great Teddy Charles.
Teddy, of course, played vibraphone on this recording; which alas proved to be his last release before he passed away.
Teddy is a legend and played with all the greats from the golden era from Billie Holiday through Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and many, many more.
We recorded this as a Quintet - a cut down version of The Danny Flam Big Band with the beautiful arrangement of this Billie Holiday track by Grammy award winning Danny Flam.
This version of 'You Don't Know What Love Is' was recorded under license through Limelight/RightsFlow
Recorded under License No: 19689665
