This is a song which, upon first hearing, evoked the same feelings in me as Gordon Lightfoot’s ‘If You Could Read My Mind’

I was introduced to this song by my good friend, Danny Flam, who has played on and produced tracks for the song's writer, Kathy Ingraham

Kathy's words resonated with me and I laid down this track in my studio in a series of one-takes so what you hear is my interpretation
as fresh as my ears initially heard this song. I just followed the muse and the track evolved itself. But I also heard something else
so I called up a friend, the world renowned pedal steel player BJ Cole, and he has added his beautiful playing to the song

Walkers vocals are perfect, deep and soulful with his usual granite gruffness on the very ragged edge of breaking up. BJ Cole’s pedal steel a perfect accompaniment with its keening tone and lonely tones.

The rest of the playing is soft and understated and all you really have is Walker’s vocal set against the pedal steel.
