'Long Way to Heaven' by Wily Bo Walker
Wily Bo Walker steps in to the shoes of John Robert 'Joe' Cocker O.B.E for the blue-eyed soul masterpiece 'Long Way To Heaven' which features The Brown Sisters of Chicago and their wonderful gospel voices, Danny Flam's New York Brass, Cenovia Cummins' String Quartet and a stirring sax solo by Ron Bertolet. The muscular rhythm section kicks in and backs the track like mad dogs and Englishmen!
'Long Way To Heaven' has been a staple track in the Wily Bo Walker repertoire for over a decade now - it works as a simple singer/songwriter 'one man and a guitar' version as well as in his huge 'Spector-esque' productions.
Wily Bo's production in this number was Finalist and Runner-Up in the prestigious 'Producer of the Year' awards in Australia 2016
'Long Way to Heaven' was also Finalist and Runner-Up in the 2015 British Blues Awards in the 'Song of the Year' category
